Head Roaster – Caffe L’affare

Since our beginning in 1990 Caffe L’affare has been a stalwart player in the New Zealand coffee industry. We are now roasting more coffee than ever before and need an experienced and passionate Roaster to join our team in Wellington.  This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a large, high profile and social company to roast for our flagship café, nationwide hospitality customers and retail business. 

The role includes the tasting and selecting of coffee and blend development as well as roaster maintenance. We want someone that has roasting and cupping experience, loves coffee and is genuinely interested in a long term career in the coffee industry.

As Head Roaster you will also have responsibility for stock control and staffing so you should be used to managing by systems and collaborate well with others. You must have a creative spark, a sense of humour and a drive for results.
